For our "The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish" song book, we created these graphics for easy access on gender expression definitions.  Feel free to refer back when having discussions with your kiddos or students!

Read Across America week is celebrated in schools and libraries to encourage kiddos to read everyday the first week of March.  The National Education Association first focused this week on Dr. Seuss's birthday, after the 2019 study by Conscious Kid identifying Dr. Seuss's Anti-Blackness, White Supremacist, Orientalism tendencies they no longer associate Read Across America week with one author, publisher or character so we wanted to join in the fun of finding inclusive and diverse children's books.

Self love and friendship themes should be celebrated throughout the year but we wanted to put together some themed children's tunes and radio hits to add to your Valentine's Day playlist to use at home, in the classroom or during sessions.

Here are some of our favorite resources to use year round but especially around MLK Jr. Day to further support anti-racist books and songs that focus on peace, freedom and equality.

We did a collaboration with our friends Caitlyn and Jen from college with their SLP account @linguisticlittles about joint attention!  The graphics were created by @linguisticlittles and we created a short video (above) to discuss how to use music to assess, engage and encourage joint attention with kiddos!
